You’ve heard about the luxurious French clothing labels, the fancy Italian clothing and the elegant Spanish but have you heard of the little known Australian fashion labels. Yep, they do exist and CoconutandRose is here to show you the top five Australian clothing brand.


Finders Keepers

Finders Keepers will always be my favourite Australian clothing brand due to their modern and elegant designs.  Finders Keepers was founded in 2007 by Melanie Flintoft, the now creative director of Finders Keepers. Each collection incorporates high street designs and trendy shapes and fabrics. These days, Finders Keepers is worn by A-lister celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, Jennifer Hawkins, Iggy Azalea, Jessie J, Whitney Port, Demi Lovato and Bambi Northwood-Blyth.


Camilla and Marc

Spring/ Summer 2016

Camilla and Marc is a luxurious, high-end fashion label full of  modern silhouettes, detailed textiles and classic tailoring. Camilla and Marc was launched in Australian Fashion Week in 2003 by brother sister duo Camilla Freeman Topper and Marc Freeman. In 2007 Camilla and Marc launched a swim wear line which interprets the Sydney beachside into beautiful swim wear. Camilla and Marc is also worn by high-profile celebrities including  Kristen Stewart, Kate Bosworth, Kirsten Dunst and Rose Byrne.


Zimmermann

Zimmermann is one of the most famous fashion labels from Australia. Before their success, Nicky Simone designed dresses and sold them at the paddington markets. Perhaps best known for their eye catching fabrics and patterns, Zimmermann is an iconic and different fashion label. Zimmermann has  also won numerous fashion awards including Australian Fashion Laureate and Best Swim Designer – Prix de Marie Claire.


AJE

AJE is a fashion house dedicated to cool, off kilter, beauty. Aje debuted in 2012 at the Mercedez Benz Australian Fashion Week. Aje was started by duo Edwina Robinson and Adrian Norris. AJE’s designs are a reflection of the duo having grown up in coastal Sydney. Aje has a distinctly signature style characterized by the effortless glamour and raw beauty. Celebrity wearers of AJE include Madonna, Kate Moss, Rachel Taylor, Jessica Hart, Jess Gomes, Phoebe Tonkin, Danni Minogue, Delta Goodrem, Rachel Zoe and Sarah Murdoch.


Ael’kemi

Ael’kemi is all about unique prints and stylish, organic textile processes full of individuality and detail.Collections of ae’lkemi which have graced the catwalk in New York City, London and that of Australian, Milan and Berlin Fashion weeks have focused on elaborate details, sequins and unique additions to the designs. Ael’kemi hs been featured in many magazines. Ael’kemi is a brand which is known for its raw elegance and representation of femininity.
